Portland Rose Balloon -- Sunrise Balloon Flight -- NEW DATE!!

Saturday, August 3rd.  Meet at 5am at the Aurora Airport located at 23115 Airport Rd NE, in Aurora to begin your flight at 5:15am.

This event is WEATHER PERMITTING.  Diane Gravelle will hear from the Portland Rose Balloon rep on Friday afternoon to hear if the event is cancelled due to the forecasted rain.  Diane will contact all ballooning participants on Friday afternoon as to whether the event is cancelled or not.

Depending on the direction of the winds, we may fly quietly over the Willamette River, float over natural wooded areas, or glide over Oregon hops & vineyards.  The actual flight time is approximately 45 - 60 minutes long and expect 3 hours total excursion that includes pre-flight and post-flight procedures.   After the balloon ride -- we will head to a breakfast stop.  We will depart the Aurora State Airport around 8:30am and drive to a breakfast venue.  All non-ballooning Members & guests are WELCOME to join us at approximately 8:30am at the Backstop Bar & Grill located at 211 North Grant Street in Canby, Oregon.  (Meet in the restaurant as we will have a minor with us).

Maximum number of people per balloon:  8 - 12 people.  8 Members have signed up for the event.  Diane Gravelle has placed a 50% deposit (plus $125 in fees & taxes) down to insure that the group is in the same bucket.  Please reimburse Diane Gravelle $137.50 per person in cash or check.  You will pay the balance of $125 directly to the Portland Rose Air Balloon on the day of the event. 

Note:  the flight MAY be canceled and rescheduled due to weather.

Cost:  $250 (plus taxes & fees) = $262 per person.  This is an opportunity to cross this off your bucket list while enjoying the experience with fellow Club Members.
